Dr. Abhishek Pathak is an experienced development professional with a robust academic background and a proven track record in social research,management, and agricultural extension. He is presently engaged with PANI as Project Director for the Carbon Kisan Connect project, leading a climate-smart agriculture program that advances community-based carbon farming to improve soil health, boost farmer resilience, and reduce carbon emissions.
Dr. Pathak holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension & Communication from G.B. Pant University, with additional academic credentials in rural development and social sciences. Drawing on a diverse background in research, CSR consulting, AI-driven systems, and grassroots capacity building, he has worked with institutions such as IPMS, SoftAge, and MANAGE, bringing a well-rounded and interdisciplinary approach to his work.
Dr. Pathak has been recognised for his contributions with several prestigious honours. He received the Young Scientist Award from the Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) in 2022. He also qualified for the ASRB ICAR-NET in Agricultural Extension in 2023 and the UGC-NET in Adult and Continuing Education in 2021.His advocacy for climate action was acknowledged through the CEMCA CRVC Award in 2019 for an outstanding climate action video. In addition, he has received numerous other accolades for his academic excellence, creative contributions, and leadership, including awards in national competitions, university events, and student-led initiatives. A prolific contributor to agricultural research, Dr. Pathak has published over 25 manuscripts, including research papers, popular articles, and book chapters.
