With 18 years of experience in development work, Sima has been instrumental in advancing women’s empowerment, child development and equal rights. Currently, she manages the Empowering Adolescent Girls (EAG) Project, overseeing team capacity building, strategic planning and stakeholder coordination. Previously, she led impactful initiatives such as the SAMANTA Project (PLAN India), advocating for equal wages for women and the Empowering Rural Women (ERW) Project (Tata Trust), strengthening women’s collectives to demand food and work rights. Her work in the Integrated Child Development Project (Child Fund India) emphasized early childhood education and SHG formation. Sima specializes in community mobilization, capacity building and government partnerships. She has successfully led programs challenging gender stereotypes, supporting grassroots advocacy and linking marginalized groups to livelihood opportunities. Passionate about gender equality, she continues to drive change through strategic interventions and empowerment initiatives.
