Shivanjali 

Shivanjali currently serves as Manager – Growth and Development at People’s Action for National Integration (PANI), where her work includes but is not limited to resource mobilization, research and development, and knowledge management, driving impactful change. With seven years of experience in the nonprofit development sector, she has worked at the intersection of climate adaptation and resilience, ecosystem restoration, disaster risk reduction, social equity, and sustainable livelihoods.

Her work spans diverse geographies and thematic areas, shaping her expertise in disaster governance, hydrometeorological hazards, community resilience, livelihood security, rights and entitlements, energy transition, and migration. She has contributed to national and international projects, collaborating with state and district authorities on key policy frameworks such as the State and District Disaster Management Plans, the State Action Plan on Climate Change, and the implementation of Forest Rights Act Guidelines, among others. Her field engagements extend across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Haryana.

Committed to bridging research and practice, she has applied a multidisciplinary lens to tackle development challenges effectively. She holds a Master of Science in Disaster Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, equipping her with a strong foundation in environmental governance and social systems.
