This is a collection of success stories (in Hindi) from a program supported by Sir Dorabjee Tata Trust on
Empowering Rural Women in 36 blocks of 9 districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh, India. More than 80,000
women from marginalized households have been collectivized and trained on various issues of gender-
based discrimination, and the avenues available to them to stand for their rights. Women are encouraged
to discuss issues faced by them, prioritize those matters, to decide among themselves about the options
available to them, and the how they want to pursue the matters. The success stories depict the positive
changes that these women have been able to bring in their lives and in the community.
